Hello my name is Vrishin Jain and I go to UWCSEA Dover. I am from New Delhi India but I have been brought up in Singapore where I spent 11 of my 12 years of life. Even though I was born in India I only lived there for around 48 days then I moved to Indonesia where I spent the rest of the year, before my first birthday we had already moved to Singapore thus starting my long stay. I love to play basketball, tennis and to swim. I love playing the guitar and I love to read. I am interested in animals and try my best to save them or do my part not to harm them more than they are being harmed already. My favourite subjects are English, Humanities (History and Geography), Design Technology and Science (Chemistry and Physics). I like playing outdoors with my friends and like making plans with them to hang out over the weekends. My favourite type of art are sculptures, I love sculptures as they are interactive and they are 3D so I can touch them and they make sense. I love the fact that you can take any 2D object or thing and convert it into a beautiful 3D model for everyone to enjoy. I am an expert at playing the guitar and reading. I am not an expert with anything to do with art, drawing, models, sketches and anything else. If I was to get advice I would like it to be ways that I could improve on these things and how I could practise. Basically I want advice that will help me with my learning and boost my confidence, not something like this is horrible make it better. I want constructive advice that will overall aid my work and make me improve for the future.

This Photo was Taken on 2015 New Year at North India and the lake you see is actually the Ganges river that is very important and holy to Hindu's. |
There is something about this image, Vrishin, that makes me feel like I am on the edge the water...and an adventure!
ReplyDeleteI want to jump in a Kayak and float down stream! A cool picture Vrishin

ReplyDeleteVrishin, this is a very nice photo! I love how you got the camera so close to the water, showcasing how it would look like of you were in the water! Very well executed photo!
ReplyDeleteWhy is this lake so important to Hindus?
What camera did you take this with?
It seems as though the sun is making the image a tad bit blurred. Is there a way you can fix this using an editing program?
Overall, a very pleasing photo to look at!

Hi Sammy,
DeleteJust to answer your questions:
1. This lake is very important to Hindus because In Hinduism, the river Ganges is considered sacred and is personified as a goddess known as Ganga. It is worshipped by Hindus who believe that bathing in the river will remove and sins that you may have committed in your life. Also the water of Ganga is considered very pure.
2. It was Taken by a HTC desire 310's camera, that's probably why it is so blurry.
3. Actually the sun has not done much to this photo it is just the camera quality I used, the phone I used was not very good quality.
Thanks a lot for commenting on my photo.
Vrishin
